Refund and Exchange Policy

  1. General Overview

At Getec CC, customer satisfaction is important to us. We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our custom-built canopies, fitments, and accessories. However, due to the made-to-order nature of many of our products, specific conditions apply regarding refunds, exchanges, and cancellations.

  1. Custom-Built Products

Most of our products are built to your specifications. As a result:

  • No refunds or exchanges will be granted on custom-made or built-to-order items unless there is a manufacturing fault or error on our part.
  • Once materials are purchased or production has commenced, cancellation of the order may result in a partial refund only, at the discretion of management.
  • In some cases, a handling or restocking fee (up to 25%) may apply.
  1. Standard Products and Accessories

For non-custom items (e.g., accessories, pre-manufactured parts), we offer:

  • 7-day exchange policy from the date of purchase or collection, provided the product is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
  • Refunds for these items may be processed only if:
    • The item is defective.
    • The incorrect item was supplied.
  1. Warranty-Related Returns
  • Products with a valid warranty (typically 12 months) may be repaired or replaced if a manufacturing defect is confirmed.
  • Claims must be submitted with:
    • Clear photos of the issue.
    • Description of the problem.
    • Copy of your invoice or receipt.
  • Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, incorrect fitment by third parties, wear and tear, or accidental damage.
  1. Fitment or Workmanship Issues
  • If you notice an issue related to fitment or installation, contact us within 48 hours of collection or service completion.
  • We will assess the matter and, if found to be an error on our part, rectify the problem at no additional cost.
  1. Refund Processing
  • Approved refunds are processed via EFT and may take up to 7 business days to reflect in your account.
  • You will be notified via email or phone once your refund has been approved and processed.
  1. Exchange and Return Process

To request an exchange or return:

  1. Email marketing@getec.co.za with your invoice number and reason for the return.
  2. If approved, return the item to our Rosslyn workshop at your own cost (unless it was our error).
  3. We will inspect the product before processing a refund or exchange.
  1. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Custom-built canopies and modifications.
  • Damaged items due to customer misuse.
  • Items not in original condition or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
