Terms of Services

Welcome to Getec CC. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our products, services, and website. By engaging with our company, purchasing from us, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

  1. Scope of Services

Getec CC specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom aluminium and steel canopies for commercial and industrial vehicles. Services may include:

  • Custom-built canopy manufacturing
  • Installation and fitment
  • Repairs or modifications
  • After-sales support
  • Consultations and quotations

All services are subject to availability and capacity at the time of inquiry or order placement.

  1. Quotations and Orders
  • All quotes provided are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Orders will only be confirmed once a deposit has been received as outlined in the quotation.
  • Any change in vehicle specifications or customer requirements after the order confirmation may lead to a revised quote.
  • Getec CC reserves the right to reject or cancel any order based on capacity, feasibility, or other operational factors.
  1. Pricing and Payment
  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive/exclusive of VAT, depending on the quote provided.
  • A deposit (typically 50%) is required before work begins. The balance is payable upon completion or before delivery.
  • Payments must be made via EFT. Proof of payment must be emailed to marketing@getec.co.za.
  • Orders will not be released or delivered until full payment has been received and cleared.
  1. Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times will be communicated at the time of order. Please note:

  • Turnaround times are estimates and may vary due to material availability, customisation complexity, or workload.
  • Getec CC is not liable for any loss incurred due to reasonable delays beyond our control (e.g. strikes, load shedding, supplier delays).
  1. Cancellations and Refunds
  • Cancellations made more than 5 working days before scheduled production may be eligible for a partial refund, subject to administrative fees.
  • Cancellations after production has started will not be refunded.
  • Refunds will not be given for custom-manufactured products unless there is a proven defect.
  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing.
  1. Warranty and Repairs
  • All Getec CC products are backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty.
  • This warranty covers manufacturing faults but does not cover misuse, abuse, alterations, neglect, or external damage.
  • Repairs needed due to normal wear and tear, impact, incorrect use, or unauthorized modifications will be quoted separately.
  • The warranty becomes void if another party attempts to repair or alter the product without written consent.
  1. Delivery and Collection
  • Customers are responsible for arranging the collection or delivery of completed products unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Getec CC will not be held liable for damage or loss of goods during third-party transport unless arranged directly by us.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All custom designs, technical drawings, specifications, and related intellectual property remain the property of Getec CC.
  • Clients may not replicate, sell, or distribute our designs without written permission.
  • Use of our name, logos, or brand elements must be authorised in writing.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • Getec CC shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our products or services.
  • Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the product or service in question.
  1. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are expected to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure prompt communication during the order and production process.
  • Inspect products upon collection/delivery and report issues within 48 hours.
  • Comply with maintenance guidelines and use products as intended.
  1. Dispute Resolution
  • Any disputes should be addressed in writing to marketing@getec.co.za.
  • We will strive to resolve all issues fairly and timeously.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be escalated through mediation or legal action within South African jurisdiction.
  1. Modifications to Terms

Getec CC reserves the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website or provided upon request. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
